The Shekinah Youth Church formerly known as the Shekinah Youth Chapel, organized by Pastors Floyd and Margarett Elaine Flake in October of 1992, has a membership of over 1,200 youth.   The worship services for Shekinah are held in the old Allen A.M.E. Church sanctuary which seats 550. Shekinah has answered the call of God by providing distinctive church programs designed to reach youth who do not have a spiritual foundation, and to their foster Christian development through a multitude of activities.
